Meet Dr. Vossoughi
Dr. Vossoughi considers himself a local of San Fernando Valley. He did part of his high school in Woodland Hills, California. Dr. Vossoughi attended University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry where he earned his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery).
Dr. Vossoughi then moved to east coast to do a one year General Practice Residency at Stony Brook Hospital in New York to further his knowledge in all facets of Dentistry specially the more advanced techniques and treatment modalities. Subsequently he got admitted to the prestigious specialty program in State University of New York, Stony Brook and completed another three year residency program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Vossoughi has been involved in research extensively all through his education and professional career. His researches are in different areas of Dental sciences including the comparison of X-ray Cephalometric Norms in different ethnicities, assessment of the effectiveness of dental instruction programs in school students, and the effect of dental extraction on tongue position and airway dimensions. Some of his researches have been published in peer reviewed dental journals. His case report of Pyogenic Granuloma associated with cervical root resorption has been published in the well-respected Journal of Canadian Dental Association.
Dr. Vossoughi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, which only a small group of orthodontists have accomplished. He attends many National Orthodontic meetings and study groups to stay up to date with all new technologies and advances in Orthodontics.
When not in the office creating beautiful, long lasting and healthy smiles he loves to spend time with his family, play sports and when possible travel the world.
